Have you ever experienced the healing power contained within a simple paint stroke, or felt the power of a potter’s wheel? Do you know the transformative power of paper, oil pastels and an imagination in use? When you listen to a musical piece, can you feel the creativity flowing through you?
Art touches our lives in many ways. Everyone benefits from the artistic creations that enrich our daily lives, but for others, being part of the creative process is vital. The expressive arts, simply put, have the power to heal. Through this realization, Healing Through Expressive Arts was born.
Healing Through Expressive Arts, with help from Sacred Treehouse and Therapeutic Oasis of the Palm Beaches, is dedicated to promoting awareness of the use of expressive arts as healing tools, providing education for those interested in expressive arts, and raising funds for organizations that use expressive arts in the healing process. In past years, Healing Through Expressive Arts has used the Annual HEArt Show to benefit worthy organization such as Louis & Anne Green Memory & Wellness Center at Florida Atlantic University and The Milagro Center in Delray Beach.
Our organization is run entirely by volunteers and financed through donations and sponsorships. We would love to have your support for future events. By underwriting or sponsoring our annual HEArt Show, or one of our many HEArt Attack Pop Up Art Shows, you are supporting healing and creativity within our local community.
